Adopt
Adopting a bully is a very important decision that should not be made spontaneously or taken lightly. CBBR strives to adopt our bullies into FOREVER homes…not into homes where the owners may feel it is no longer convenient to have the dog. There are many things to consider before adopting:

Before You Decide To Adopt (or complete an application)
There are many things to consider before adopting (or attempting to adopt) a bully. With the threat of breed specific legislation (BSL) and the public shyness towards the breed, you must arm yourself with knowledge. Ignorance has bred BSL…only education can euthanize it!!

Before you go any further, assess your situation:

Adoption Requirements
We work with shelters and animal control agencies in three states and are always aware of needy Bullies. If you don't see your future pet below, email us and tell us what you are looking for ... he/she may be looking for you too!

The adoption donation is $150 for adult dogs 2 years and over, $200 for dogs 7 months to 2 years and $250 for puppies under the age of 7 months. Our dogs are all spayed/neutered, micro chipped, current on all vaccinations, heartworm tested and dewormed. They all have at the minimum basic obedience skills and have been temperament tested to ensure proper placement.

Our adoption fees for are as follows:

All adoptions start with an application, reference check and home visit. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this. In addition, once a dog is adopted, Chicagoland Bully Breed Rescue will complete follow-up phone calls and visits to ensure that the animal is safe and to answer any questions that may arise. We are always available to answer any questions and to pass on our knowledge of the breeds. We can also make recommendations for nutrition, veterinarians, boarding facilities and training classes.

Please remember that just because you find a specific dog attractive does not mean that it will fit into your lifestyle. Please take our recommendations with sincerity since we know the dogs and their personalities. We want to place a dog in a FOREVER home and strive to make it right the first time. We have many contacts and if we don't have a dog that fits your lifestyle, we will be able to point you in the right direction. Please, print out the form and fill out the application and meet with one of our volunteers.

ATTENTION: IF YOU DO NOT HEAR FROM A VOLUNTEER WITHIN 48 HOURS, PLEASE EMAIL INFO@CBBR.INFO AS YOUR APPLICATION MAY BE LOST IN CYBERSPACE!

Again, thank you for looking at the beautiful bullies that we have in rescue and we will be in touch with you soon!
